Charles Boyk
Chuck Boyk has been licensed to practice law in Ohio since 1983. His major areas of practice involve plaintiff personal injury, including car accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, slip and falls (premises liability), and construction accidents. Chuck’s other areas of practice include workers compensation, criminal defense and general civil litigation. He is licensed in all Ohio courts and the Eastern District of Michigan in Federal Court. Michael Bruno
Mike Bruno was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and grew up in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Sylvania High School in 1975 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Ohio University in 1979. He graduated from The University of Toledo Law School in 1983. From 1983 to 1989, Mike worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Lucas County, prosecuting hundreds of cases. Since 1989, he has primarily handled personal injury and insurance matters, trying over 100 jury trials throughout northwest Ohio, including a $1.25 million recovery. Mike has received a 10.0 “Superb” rating from the Avvo lawyer ranking system. He is a past president of the Italian American Sports Club and a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers.

Daniel T. Geherin
Daniel T. Geherin is a board-certified criminal defense attorney in Ann Arbor, and he has been practicing law for over 25+ years. Andrea Young
Andrea Young is an attorney at Charles Boyk Law, focusing on personal injury cases with empathy and passion. She grew up in West Toledo and graduated from Roy. C. Start High School. In 2010, she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal studies from the University of Toledo. After working as a paralegal, she returned to the University of Toledo College of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2016 with Magna Cum Laude distinction and membership in The Order of the Coif. She is licensed in Ohio and Michigan and was awarded Super Lawyer for 2022 and 2023. Andrea is actively involved in various bar associations and committees.

Zackary Shaffer
Zac Shaffer was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Eastwood High School in 2012. He attended the University of Toledo, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Social Thought and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2016. He graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2019 with a concentration in Health Care Law. After being admitted to the Ohio State Bar, Zac worked as an Associate Attorney focusing on employment law. He later returned to personal injury law as a Pre-Litigation Attorney before joining Charles Boyk Law. In 2023, Zac received the Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Attorney award from the National Trial Lawyers. Since 2021, he has been an active member of the Toledo Bar Association and the Toledo Junior Bar Association, co-chairing committees.

Fred R. Schmerberg
Fred R. Schmerberg is engaged in the general practice of law in Saline, Michigan. He was admitted to practice in 1979.
