Jim Lloyd

Jim Lloyd is an Oklahoma native who graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1968. He pursued a pre-law course at Oklahoma State University, earning a B.S. in Economics. He attended Oklahoma City University Law School and the University of Tulsa for his J.D., passing the Oklahoma Bar while still in law school. He worked for the Creek County District Attorneys’ office and as a landman before opening his own firm in 1977. In 1979, he was recognized as Outstanding Young Lawyer for the State of Oklahoma. He attended Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyer’s College in 2003 and is a lifetime Trustee in the Melvin Belli Society. With over thirty-five years of experience, he specializes as a trial lawyer, helping injured victims.

Nancy Lloyd grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and graduated from Oklahoma State University with an accounting degree. She worked for 11 years in public accounting, specializing in corporate tax work, and passed the C.P.A. exam in 1972, winning the Gold Medal. Driven by a passion for helping the underdog, she attended the University of Tulsa Law School, ranking in the top percent of her class. In 1987, Nancy joined Jim Lloyd in private practice. She is a member of the Oklahoma and Missouri Bars and has been practicing law for over twenty years, focusing on personal injury, insurance litigation, nursing home neglect, truck collisions, and workers’ compensation, exclusively helping injured people.

James (Buddy) Lloyd II was born and raised in Tulsa. He graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Kansas in 2000. He then attended Washington University School of Law, where he was a staff member and associate editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly, graduating in 2003, Order of the Coif. After law school, he worked at a large law firm in Kansas City, Missouri, specializing in litigation, before returning to Tulsa in 2006 to join Lloyd & Lloyd Lawyers. Buddy specializes in nursing home litigation, personal injury, and insurance bad faith. He is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, as well as several United States District Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Oklahoma Bar Association, and the Hudson-Hall-Wheaton Inn of Court in Tulsa.
