Jared R. Tauber

Tim Kelly is an attorney who graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1972. Since 1973, he has actively engaged in personal injury, commercial, and contract litigation, successfully completing over 300 jury trials. He has practiced in state and federal courts across Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, and Tennessee. Tim holds an “AV” rating in Martindale Hubbell and is listed in the Bar Register.

Rhett L. Tauber is the President and Senior Partner of Tauber Law Offices, with almost 40 years of experience. He specializes in personal injury litigation, probate and estate planning, corporate law, municipal law, real estate, business transactions, and general civil litigation. He has represented the Town of Highland and the School Town of Highland for approximately 40 years. He graduated from Valparaiso University with a B.A. in Government and Spanish in 1971 and received his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1974, graduating magna cum laude. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals 7th Circuit in 1978, and the United States Supreme Court in 1981.

Jeffrey C. Semko

Jeffrey C. Semko is the owner of Semko Law Office. He previously served as a Deputy Prosecutor for Lake County from 2009 to 2012. His practice focuses on criminal defense and family law. He is licensed in Indiana and admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Indiana. He holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M Cooley Law School.

Beth Nowak

Beth Nowak is a partner with Kelly Law Offices. She focuses on civil litigation, primarily car crashes, dog bites and premises claims, with additional experience litigating contract disputes, business-related matters, and employment-related claims. For her tireless efforts in representing seriously injured clients, Beth was granted membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The Top Trial Lawyers in America. Over her career, Beth has tried many jury trials and settled many more cases against insurance companies. While still early in her career, she had already written several winning appellate briefs for the Court of Appeals and has successfully argued before the Indiana Supreme Court. Beth is a proud member of the American Association for Justice, the American Association of Motorcycle Injury Lawyers and ABATE. Beth is an ABATE motorcycle riding class graduate and she uses this knowledge to represent injured motorcycle riders. Beth is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Indiana, and has also handled claims in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and Georgia. Beth grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana and attended Valparaiso University. There, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology/Criminal Justice, graduating with honors. She went on to obtain a J.D. from the Valparaiso School of Law in 2003. She has been pleased to speak at various seminars, as a guest Lecturer at Valparaiso University and volunteers for Junior Achievement speaking to elementary students on what it is like to be a lawyer.

For the past 20 years, Michael has represented injured people and their families. He has settled their cases when appropriate, and when necessary, taken their cases to trial. For his work in representing his clients, Michael was granted a lifetime membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The Top Trial Lawyers in America. Less than 1% of all lawyers in the country are granted such membership. Michael has also earned an “AV Preeminent” rating in Martindale Hubbell. This rating is a testament to the fact Michael’s peers, those who work with him and those who have had to litigate against him, rank him at the highest level of professional excellence in terms of ability and ethical standards. Earlier in his career, Michael was named one of the Top 10 attorneys in his state under the age of 40 by the National Academy of Personal injury Attorneys. Michael has also received a “Superb” rating from AVVO, the highest rating possible. He was born in Chicago and graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2002. While in school, Michael studied civil litigation and trial work. He also studied at the National Sports Law Institute. Michael joined Kelly Law Offices in May 2003 and currently focuses his practice on trial work, including personal injury and wrongful death litigation, with an emphasis on traumatic brain injury cases. Michael also handles the majority of the firm’s estate planning, drafting Wills and Trusts and helping families plan for their future. Since joining the Kelly team, Michael has successfully tried many jury and bench trials. Michael has litigated in both the Indiana and Illinois state and federal courts, the state of Arizona and has several published appellate court opinions.
