Jeffrey L. Dull

Jeff Dull graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1984 and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1987. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in October 1987. Mr. Dull began his practice in Osceola, Missouri, handling a wide variety of cases including personal injury, criminal, domestic, probate, workers’ compensation, and social security disability. He established offices in Clinton (2003), Warsaw, and Sedalia (2018). His practice now focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, complex civil and probate matters, and social security disability claims. He has obtained judgments or settlements exceeding a million dollars for seriously injured clients. Mr. Dull has received a BV Distinguished rating for over 20 years and an AV Preeminent rating in 2023 from Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and was recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as a 'Top 100 Civil Plaintiff’s Lawyer' in 2019 and a 'Top 25 Attorney in Motor Vehicle Accident Cases' in 2020.

Brianne Thomas

Brianne Thomas focuses her practice on personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. She is a seasoned litigator and civic leader. Practicing law since 2006 she is now Managing Partner at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish and is fulfilling the dream she envisioned at age eight when she told her parents she wanted to be a lawyer. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She began her legal career as a clerk with Boyd & Kenter P.C., which led to an associate position. Having always been given the autonomy she desired and support she needed, Brianne, a self-described “ambitious, hard-working, loyal problem-solver,” grew into her current role as managing partner at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish, LLC. Brianne currently serves on the board of directors for the Association for Women Lawyers (AWL) of Greater Kansas City and serves on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. She volunteers for Jackson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) which represents abused and neglected children in courts throughout Jackson County. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Rainbow Center, a non-profit organization that serves adults and children with developmental disabilities. From 2008-2012, she was elected by her peers to serve two terms on the Missouri Bar Young Lawyers Section Council. She also chaired Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s (KCMBA) Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy committee in 2011-2012. Brianne has been recognized as a 2015 Rising Star by KC Business Magazine and a Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Law and Politics Magazine for the past six years. She was voted “Best of the Bar” in 2013, 2014 and 2016 and has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as the “Top 40 Under 40.” In 2012, she won the President’s Award for achievement as a board member of the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City (AWL). In 2012, she was honored with the David J. Dixon award by the Missouri Bar Foundation which recognizes outstanding work in appellate advocacy. Most recently in 2021, Brianne was named Litigation Practitioner Award nominee for the Missouri Women's Justice Awards.

John B. Boyd

John Boyd founded the law firm in November 1983. Before that, he was a Missouri Workers’ Compensation judge. He accepted a temporary appointment by Governor Robert Holden to serve as Acting Chairman of the Labor & Industrial Relations Commission. Born, raised and educated in Sedalia, Missouri, John is a 1971 graduate of University of Central Missouri with a B.S. in Business Administration, and a December 1974 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. John is a Fellow in the inaugural class of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers. He is a founding member, Past-President and recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group, a national organization dedicated to representing the interests of millions of workers who suffer the consequences of workplace injury and occupational illnesses. Counsel to the Missouri AFL-CIO and several local unions, John is also a member of Super Lawyers in Missouri and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) panel of workers’ compensation attorneys. Concerning workers’ rights, John has lectured across the state, nationally, internationally; has testified before Missouri House and Senate committees; and has written extensively on the subject.

Mark Thomas Kempton

Mark Kempton has tried lawsuits in all parts of the State of Missouri for over 45 years, representing individuals and companies in both civil and criminal cases. He has achieved record-setting verdicts for injured clients and defended innocent parties. He was hired to prosecute a gubernatorial impeachment and represents lawyers in litigation. He also serves as a special master, receiver, arbitrator, or mediator for judges. His practice includes serious injury and wrongful death claims.

Mark Parrish

Mark Parrish represents individuals, families and small businesses in products liability, railroad crossing litigation, insurance litigation, and other civil litigation matters involving cases and clients throughout the United States. Practicing law since 1993, Mark has wanted to be an attorney for as long as he can remember - looking to help individuals, families and small businesses that have been harmed by others. He serves on the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) Board of Governors and the board of Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance. With a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Mark belongs to The American Association for Justice (AAJ), Kansas Trial Lawyers Association (KTLA) and has been listed in Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers since 2007. Outside of the office Mark enjoys time with his family.

Samuel R. Kempton

Samuel R. Kempton is an Associate Attorney focusing on Auto Accidents, Criminal Defense, Insurance, Medical Malpractice, and Personal Injury, with 100% of his practice devoted to litigation. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2015 and the U.S. District Court Western District of Missouri in 2016. He holds a J.D. from Western Michigan University School of Law (2014) and a B.A. from the University of Missouri (2011). He has been recognized as one of The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 - Civil Plaintiff - Missouri and received awards for Best Advocate and a Certificate of Merit.

Robert G. Russell

Robert G. Russell, known as Bob, earned his law degree in 1963. He clerked for a U.S. District Court judge before entering private practice. He served as a Circuit Judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Missouri from 1970 to 1986, where he was recognized as a fine trial judge. He joined Kempton & Russell in 1986, continuing to receive accolades for his contributions to the legal profession. He retired from practice in July 2021 and passed away on April 7, 2022.
