William Paul Blackford

Committed to excellence in his written and oral legal advocacy, Bill has received accolades from and worked with some of Maryland’s premier lawyers. Throughout his first decade as an attorney, Bill represented clients in a wide variety of legal matters, including business litigation, high-stakes divorce and family law litigation, high-profile criminal investigations and defense as well as million-dollar litigation for personal injury, wrongful death, etc. Bill has handled trial and appellate matters in Maryland federal and state courts as well as those in the District of Columbia. William Blackford is a lifelong Marylander who spent his childhood in Howard and Frederick counties. He attended Loyola High School and graduated with honors from Saint Joseph’s University with a double major in Philosophy and English Literature. After college, Bill began his legal career working for the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office and some of Maryland’s best criminal defense lawyers. After graduating from the distinguished University Of Maryland School Of Law, Bill honed his civil litigation skills, working on cases involving construction litigation, homeowner claims against contractors and business planning and litigation matters. Today Bill is active in the Maryland community and professional bar associations. He has served as President of a successful legal non-profit Civil Justice, Inc., where he helped plan and manage million-dollar grants, impact consumer litigation and class action matters and associated growth. For over a decade, Bill has partnered with Chris Flohr to form Blackford & Flohr, L.L.C., a small firm dedicated to providing high-quality trial advocacy for its individual and business clients. Karen Authement

Karen M. Authement has been practicing law in Maryland since 2004 and District of Columbia since 2006. She has extensive experience in Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate Administration and Personal injury claims for auto collisions and work injuries. Ms. Authement worked as a paralegal in a Plaintiff's complex personal injury and medical malpractice firm for 9 years while completing her Bachelor degree and law degree in the evenings. She served as Managing Associate for a foreclosure and debt collection firm for over five years assisting real estate investors from 2005-2010. In August 2010, Ms. Authement opened her own firm, KMA Law Office, to assist individuals and families with Estate Planning, Probate Administration, and Personal Injury claims. Ms. Authement stays on top of the current legal issues and changing laws with continuing legal education on a regular basis. She is a member of the Severna Park Chamber, a member of the Board of Directors for the Severna Park Community Center and takes pride in sponsoring local community events through these organizations.

Andrew Sindler is an attorney and certified mediator with over 17 years of experience practicing in Maryland, D.C., and the Mid-Atlantic Region. He primarily focuses on Social Security Disability cases but also handles personal injury, worker's compensation, medical malpractice, product liability, nursing home negligence, toxic exposure, multi-district litigation, employment, family law, general civil and criminal practice, and administrative matters for police officers. He is admitted to the Maryland Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, Worker's Compensation Commissions of Maryland and D.C., and several federal courts. He is also an adjunct law professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law and Community College of Baltimore County.

Kelly R. Arnold

Kelly R. Arnold was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2022 and to the District of Columbia Bar in 2024. Even before entering law school in 2018, Kelly spent more than twenty years in the legal field as a plaintiff’s personal injury paralegal working on a variety of cases including medical malpractice claims, auto accidents, dog bite claims, and workers’ compensation claims. From 2011 until 2023, Kelly worked as both a plaintiff’s personal injury paralegal and Associate Attorney with the civil litigation firm of Houlon, Berman, Finci & Levenstein, LLC in Greenbelt, Maryland. From 2023 until joining KMA Law, Kelly’s practice focused on insurance defense litigation, which allowed her to gain insight and knowledge on how insurance companies defend claims brought by injured parties. She now uses that insight and knowledge to help injured clients bring successful claims against insurance companies and their negligent insureds. Kelly obtained her J.D. in 2022 from the University of Baltimore School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, attending evening classes, Kelly was a student-attorney-mediator with the Mediation Clinic for Families working with families from Baltimore City on child custody, access, and support matters. Although she was born in Richmond, Virginia, Kelly considers herself a native “Annapolitan” and is a 1997 graduate of The Key School. She attended University of Maryland University College, where she graduated with a B.S. in 2012, majoring in Legal Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice. Kelly currently resides in Arnold, Maryland with her husband and their four children.

Michael L. Wilsman

Michael L. Wilsman is an attorney with 25 years of legal experience, dedicated to helping clients with difficult legal problems. He represents injured clients, drawing on his experience as a former insurance defense attorney. He also defends clients facing criminal charges, assists families with divorce and estate planning, and advises business clients on formation, contracts, and disputes.

Christopher Flohr

Chris began his practice as an attorney for the Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Division in Brooklyn, New York in the early 90’s. Part of an esteemed group of young attorneys, Chris worked hard in the trenches, appearing in court nearly every day (sometimes until the early hours of the morning in night court). Soon into his service, Chris was selected as Team Leader and litigated trials in nearly every type of felony (i.e., robbery, rape, murder, etc.). In 1998, Chris Flohr and his family moved to Maryland, where he began work as the Legal Director for a grant funded program focusing on Bail Reform in Baltimore City. In 1999, Chris was chosen to participate in the Trial Lawyers College held at the ranch of famous trial attorney, Gerry Spence. During this month long training, Chris experienced a transformation in his career where he learned that he could win cases without the use of rhetoric, but rather through strategic storytelling and revelation of both his and his client’s truth. Today, Chris Flohr participates in a wide variety of professional activities and serves as President of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association. In addition, Chris is an adjunct professor at the University Of Maryland School Of Law, a former instructor for the National Institute For Trial Advocacy (NITA), the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, the Anne Arundel County CJCC, and the Maryland State Drug Court Planning Committee.
