Kevin Bennett

Mr. Bennett is the senior partner and President of the firm. After practicing law in a large litigation firm for 15 years beginning in 1986, he felt that he needed to find a way to incorporate his true passion of helping people in a “hands on” way into his professional life. That opportunity abruptly presented itself in April of 2000 upon the sudden death of his father Roy who had practiced law in the firm’s current location for several years. Following his heart, Kevin left his former firm and started his own practice from his father’s desk which eventually became Bennett & Bodine, P.A. Kevin actively practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, auto accidents, estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney), small business and other civil matters. This allows him to develop personal relationships with his clients. He has received the AV Preeminent® rating by Martindale-Hubbell® for the highest in ethical standards and professional excellence. He has successfully tried numerous jury trials and trials to the court and has over 35 years of experience. Kevin loves to serve his community and over the years he has served on the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, including the office of Chairman, and has also been appointed by the City’s mayors to serve on several other committees. Kevin is happily married to his wife Tina and has four wonderful children and four grandchildren. Outside of work he loves to relax with his family and friends, garden, follow the Royals, Chiefs and K-State sports teams, grill and BBQ (no, they are not the same, just ask him). He and Tina are active members of Westside Family Church and enjoy serving there as well.

Mark Bodine

Mr. Bodine is a principal of the firm and has been with Bennett & Bodine, P. A., since 2005. His primary practice focus is in civil litigation. He represents clients in commercial, business, and real estate disputes. His practice includes contract disputes, premises liability, interpretation of leases, indemnification agreements, releases, and other types of contracts. He assists parties in business partner separations, employment agreement disputes, non-compete enforcement, banking law, homes association disputes, debtor-creditor matters, mortgage foreclosures, construction problems, and landlord-tenant matters. He is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri State and Federal Courts and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Bodine has extensive trial experience in both Kansas and Missouri courts.

Dennis M. Clyde

Dennis M. Clyde is an experienced trial attorney focusing on personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, and workers' compensation law. He is admitted to practice in all Kansas district and appellate courts, the U.S. District Court, District of Kansas, and the Western District of Missouri.

Thomas M. Mullinix, III

Mr. Mullinix has over 40 years of experience representing clients in the bankruptcy and complex financial and commercial transactions in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

John E. Larson

Mr. Larson has devoted more than 20 years to helping business owners and high net-worth clients structure and manage for success, including business formation, corporate governance and acquisitions. Estate planning and business succession planning are also major practice focuses for Mr. Larson as he guides his clients through life’s transitions.

Colin N. Gotham

Mr. Gotham has over 20 years bankruptcy law experience and has personally handled hundreds of Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases. He is certified by the American Board of Certification in the fields of Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law. He regularly negotiates bankruptcy agreements for both businesses and individuals; and represents both debtors and creditors in a full array of Chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings. Mr. Gotham also frequently appears in state and federal court in bankruptcy-related and other litigation. Additionally, Mr. Gotham represents businesses in general corporate matters.
