Kim D. Cannon
Kim Cannon grew up dividing his time between his grandfather’s ranch on the head of the Green River north of Cora, Wyoming, and California. After working on ranches in Sublette and Teton Counties he owned and operated his own horse pack outfit in the Wind River Mountains (1969-1973). He received his A.B. degree from Dartmouth College, cum laude in 1970, and his J.D. from the University of Colorado in 1974. He joined the firm, then known as Burgess & Davis, out of law school and became a partner in 1980. Concentrating on complex litigation, Kim has represented clients throughout Wyoming in a wide variety of cases from natural resources, commercial, construction, employment, personal injury, products liability, professional malpractice, securities and significant asset divorce litigation.

Matthew Trapani

Devon P. O’Connell
Devon O’Connell is a member and owner of Pence and MacMillan LLC. She graduated with Honor from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2000. She is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Devon served as the 100th President of the Wyoming State Bar and as President of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association. She is a current Commissioner of the Judicial Nominating Commission. Devon has served as a State Bar Commissioner from the Second Judicial District and as President Elect and Vice President of the Wyoming State Bar. Devon is a certified and trained mediator. She received her mediation training at CDR Associates in Boulder and at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Additionally, she has served on the Board of Professional Responsibility, she is a current member of the Permanent Civil Rules Committee and the alum to Justice Commission the Fee Dispute Committee and as Vice Chair of the Board of Continuing Legal Education. Devon is active in a number of community and civic organizations such as the University of Wyoming Art Museum Board and the UW Law School Dean’s Advisory Council. She is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Wyoming. Devon is a certified yoga instructor (RYT 500) and teaches yoga in Laramie and at legal events and conferences. Devon, her partner Pete Gosar and their Australian Shepherds Olive and Owen live in Laramie and love to hike, ski, read, backpack, and travel.

Codie D. Henderson
Codie D. Henderson is a partner in Davis & Cannon, LLP. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Codie served as a law clerk to the Honorable John G. Fenn in Wyoming’s Fourth Judicial District. Codie graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in May of 2011, where he served as a senior staff editor for the Wyoming Law Review. Before attending law school, Codie studied history at the University of Colorado, completing his undergraduate degree magna cum laude with highest distinction in 2006, and his master’s degree in 2008. Codie’s practice includes general and complex civil litigation in the areas of products liability, construction law, natural resources, commercial and business law, land use, personal injury, and family law. He also regularly represents the firm’s numerous farming and ranching clients in real estate and oil and gas transactions.

Chris Wages
Attorney Chris Wages has been practicing since 1999, with extensive courtroom experience in criminal defense, estate and business planning, civil litigation, personal injury, and real estate. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming Law School, served as a prosecutor, Buffalo Municipal Court Judge, and Johnson County Attorney.

Richard M. Davis, Jr.
1968 was the year Richard “Dick” M. Davis, Jr. joined well known Wyoming attorney, Henry A. Burgess, in the practice of law and he has been with the same firm ever since. For many of the last 40 years, Dick served as managing partner and helped guide the firm from one office with two attorneys to its present size of three offices and 11 attorneys. In 2009 Dick elected to become “Of Counsel” to the firm. Martindale-Hubbell has recognized Dick as an AV rated lawyer for the past 25 years.
