This award is given to the person who best exemplifies the highest ethical standards and believes in the humanity of the law and who demonstrates a “passionate desire to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a trial lawyer.” While in law school, Bill spent time with the public defender’s office, worked for a civil litigation firm, and authored published articles pertaining to various state agencies. After law school, Bill entered the field of child advocacy law and helped obtain millions of dollars in services for children. He later turned his focus to personal injury law and began experiencing similar results. Bill has experienced uncommon success with an abnormally high success rate for his clients at all stages of litigation, from jury verdicts to judicial rulings. Outside of the law, Bill enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing music, and coaching amateur baseball. First, he graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology before moving on to WVU College of Law. There, Tyler focused his efforts on litigation and developing into a trial attorney. In his final year, he was formally acknowledged as one of the best in his class for trial advocacy by utilizing his courtroom presence and persuasive ability. Those are skills that he continues to improve and employ for our clients. Along with other members of our Sand Law team, Tyler has a background in sports and implements his competitive nature to fight for our clients. Tyler excelled in the sport of boxing and competed professionally for several years before retiring undefeated shortly before graduating from law school. In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending time with his family and raising his two young children. He is also an avid sports fan and an outdoorsman at heart.
