Michael L. Taylor

Kenneth E. Siemens
Ken is the managing partner of the firm and oversees the overall operations of the firm while also overseeing the corporate and business practice areas of the firm. Ken currently concentrates much of his work in the areas of business and commercial law, contracts, real estate transactions, real estate finance, corporate formation and governance issues, employment law, commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions, estate disputes, and estate planning. Ken also has extensive experience and continues to regularly work in litigation of the firm’s catastrophic injury and high-stakes litigation cases for both plaintiffs and defendants.

James Roswold
James Roswold has been in practice since 1990. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and University of Iowa Law School. He has extensive litigation experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and workers' compensation cases. He was honored with the 2025 Best in Law Award and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas.

Joseph W. Elliott
Joe has nearly four decades of trial practice. He has handled numerous cases in the Kansas City area, St. Joseph, and throughout northwest Missouri. He has litigation experience at both the state and federal levels. Phillip B. Grubaugh
Phillip B. Grubaugh has been practicing law since 1975 and is licensed in Missouri. Michelle D. Carpenter
Michelle is a partner of Kranitz, Sadoun & Carpenter as well as holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, and is Board-Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked as an Emergency, Trauma, and ICU nurse at the University of Kansas and North Kansas City Hospital. Michelle’s current role is as Managing Partner for the firm. Historically, Michelle has tried more than 40 jury trials and her practice is devoted to 100% litigation work. She is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas. She is also admitted to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, and the United States District Court Western District of Missouri. Michelle is proud to serve individuals in Missouri and Kansas. Michelle is passionate about representing the rights of those injured. In addition to the above civil cases, Michelle is particularly interested in high-conflict parental alienation matters representing the targeted parent. Michelle recognizes and exposes that most of the parental alienation matters concern a parent with a serious mental health condition. Michelle also teaches at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas where she is responsible for teaching Professional, Legal, and Ethical Issues; Pathophysiology; and Critical Care Clinicals.
