Alon Barzakay

In 1996, Mr. Barzakay began his legal studies at Michigan State University School of Law. During his second year of law school, Mr. Barzakay was honored to be selected as a member of the Law Review Board where he ultimately became one of only four managing editors. In 1999, Mr. Barzakay graduated cum laude from Michigan State University School of Law and immediately moved to Hollywood, Florida where he currently resides with his wife and three children. Amongst his peers, Mr. Barzakay has earned the reputation of a no-nonsense trial attorney gladly taking on some of the more complex personal injury cases. He is a member of the Florida Bar and licensed to practice in both state and federal courts. Gilberto J. Barreto

Gilberto “Gil” Barreto, born and raised in Miami, Florida, graduated from Saint Thomas University (Miami, FL) in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Administration. As a student athlete, he earned all-conference academic honors while playing on the university’s baseball team, and participated in the 1996 NAIA World Series, which was the first team to do so in school history. Mr. Barreto began his professional career as an assistant baseball coach and assistant sports information director at a small NCAA division III school in Savannah, GA before deciding to attend law school. After graduating from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2002, Mr. Barreto began his legal career with a small insurance defense firm in Ft. Lauderdale, defending auto insurance companies in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance cases, which is commonly known as Florida’s No Fault Insurance. In 2004, he changed firms, and for 12+ years represented various insurance carriers and other corporate entities in both first and third-party insurance coverage and bad faith claims and litigation. He counseled insurance company clients at each step of the insurance claim process, including pre-suit investigations; policy interpretation and analysis; claims management; fraud investigations; and negotiation of claims through alternative dispute resolution, appraisal, mediation and litigation. Starting in 2016, Mr. Barreto has represented policyholders, by using his knowledge and experience in representing insurance companies to the benefit of policyholders. Mr. Barreto has tried numerous jury and non-jury civil trials in both state and federal court. Mr. Barreto is AV rated in the civil litigation and insurance fields and is fluent in Spanish.
