Michael A. Zimmerman

Michael was born in Houston, Texas, on November 5th, 1961. His education at Baylor and Texas State Universities earned him a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. His major was in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. He finished his legal education at Texas Southern University in 1990, earning a Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1990. The Zimmerman Law Firm was founded in 1962 by Rodger Zimmerman. Michael joined with his father and the law firm of Zimmerman & Zimmerman, P.C., was created in 1992. This firm has grown to add partners and become one of the largest personal injury law firms in Central Texas. Michael has been fortunate to represent thousands of Central Texans regarding their serious personal injury and wrongful death claims. His significant Texas experience in the field helps the process of explaining and handling complicated insurance claims for individuals and families in the most tragic and necessary times. Christopher W. Bennett

Christopher W. Bennett joined the firm in 2010 and manages the firm’s Austin office. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and South Texas College of Law. He has broad experience representing individuals in state and federal courts in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights. Mr. Bennett is a member of the Austin Bar Association, Austin Young Lawyer’s Association, and the Capital Area Trial Lawyer’s Association. In his spare time, Mr. Bennett enjoys rooting on the Missouri Tigers and traveling.

J.D. Ressetar

J.D. Ressetar is a 1996 graduate of Texas Christian University and a 2009 graduate of Baylor University School of Law. He has broad experience representing individuals in litigation and arbitration matters. J.D. has successfully prosecuted hundreds of claims involving serious personal injury, wrongful death and product liability. J.D. is a member of the McLennan County and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Texas. He joined the firm in 2009 and was named a partner in 2014. Prior to law school, J.D. worked as an investment analyst in New York City, where he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation. Due to working in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, he moved from New York City to Denver to join an insurance consulting firm. Mr. Ressetar and his wife, Chelsa, married in 2004 and have three daughters.
