Joel Bieber, Esq. is the founder of The Joel Bieber Firm, a personal injury and pharmaceutical law firm based in Richmond and Virginia Beach, Virginia; with additional offices in Maryland, South Carolina, West Virginia, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Mr. Bieber notes that one side of his family are farmers and the other side is filled with preachers. That is why he describes his upbringing as, “I know how to milk a cow and am comfortable in a church or a barn. Joel also notes that he enjoys playing ping pong outside on windy days. During college he served both as a Congressional aide and a legislative aide in the Virginia General Assembly. He then received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Old Dominion University, his Law degree from Oklahoma City University. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and South Carolina, the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, South US District Court of South Carolina, the 4th Circuit US Court of Appeals, and has waived into several other states to handle cases across the United States. Charity work is near and dear to Mr. Bieber’s heart. He has served as Advisory Board member for Crossover Ministries and has been a Spokesman for United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) and Richmond Hero, an animal protection organization. He is also active with Caritas, the National Kidney Foundation of the Virginia’s, and the Brain Injury Association of Virginia. He also is a member of the North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS) and received the organization’s Founders Award (now known as the Robert Voogt Founders Award) for his dedication to advancement in the field of brain injury. He has been appointed by the Governor of Virginia to serve on the VCU Health System Authority Board of Directors. The Authority operates hospitals and related health care facilities including five Health Sciences Schools of Virginia Commonwealth University.

Geoffrey Glick was born and raised in Nassawadox, Virginia. His family was in the retail clothing business for years but Geoff was more interested in law; seeking justice for people who were unable to seek it for themselves. Melissa Ephron

Melissa Ephron

Melissa Ephron specializes in mass tort and personal injury litigation. Melissa has a long history of advocacy work, beginning at the age of 17 when she wrote her first book. Nourishment was published by Health Communications in 2011 and sheds light on the nefarious effects of psychiatric medications on America’s youth. The book also chronicles the dearth of resources extended to children with learning disabilities and neurological differences, especially in an academic space. Melissa’s passion for advocacy and desire to help others lead her to obtain a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of St. Thomas where she graduated summa cum laude and with a 4.0 GPA. During her undergraduate career, Melissa was a contributing author to the Not Alone series, a book published by Civitias Press, which provides guidance for individuals struggling with neurological differences. During this time, she also penned sections for psychology and psychobiology textbooks used in universities around the world. Melissa had the opportunity to appear in the movie, Letters from Generation Rx in 2012, which discusses the deleterious effects of psychotropic medication on children and teenagers. She has also written numerous journal and magazine articles, has conducted national and international radio interviews and television interviews and has lectured across the country. Because of her passion for helping others and her desire to implement change, Melissa ultimately made the decision to attend law school. Melissa attended South Texas College of Law where she graduated summa cum laude with a 4.048 GPA and was ranked first in her class. During her career, Melissa has represented clients across the country against large corporations that are responsible for the creation and manufacturing of harmful pharmaceuticals and defective devices. She has helped settle numerous multi-million-dollar cases.

Thomas Konvicka is a Richmond native, having grown up in nearby Powhatan County. He attended the University of Virginia where he graduated with his B.A. in Economics before beginning Law School at the University of Miami. Shortly thereafter, Thomas returned to Richmond to attend The University of Richmond School of Law. Robert was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree at Christopher Newport University, Master’s Degree at Regent University and his Juris Doctor at Liberty University.
