Tom D’Amore

An attorney for more than 30 years and a former CPA, Tom D’Amore founded D’Amore Law Group in 1994. He is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and California. He is actively engaged in the plaintiff’s trial bar, serving as a national Board of Governor, past Executive Committee member, and past Budget and Audit Chair of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). He is also Past President of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ). Tom's practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, spinal cord injury, brain injury, class actions, insurance company bad faith, complex business litigation, and banking fraud. Kirk Bernard

Kirk Bernard is the founder of Bernard Law Group and an award-winning personal injury lawyer. He has been a civil litigator in Washington and California for over 30 years, specializing in personal injury cases. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California at Santa Barbara and became licensed in 1981. He is recognized for his significant settlements and verdicts, community involvement, and was named Washington's 2023 Attorney of the Year by Top 100 Registry.

Loren Etengoff

Loren Etengoff is a retired Vancouver-based personal injury lawyer who served Southwest Washington residents for over 30 years. He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo and Gonzaga University School of Law. He maintained a successful solo personal injury practice until he merged with James “Jim” Pak, forming Etengoff Pak Law Group. Loren retired in 2019 after serving the legal community for nearly 40 years. He enjoys motorcycle trips, kayaking, and traveling abroad, including relief trips to Latin America.

Amy Bruning

Amy Bruning joined D’Amore Law Group in 2018 as an attorney, advocating for those harmed by negligence. She has diverse legal experience in employment, housing, education, and civil rights. Amy is admitted to practice law in all Oregon state and federal courts, as well as the Ninth Circuit. She is an active member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, serving on various committees and receiving the 2025 New Lawyer of the Year award. She is also a member of the Oregon Justice Resource Center’s Amicus Committee and serves on the Oregon State Bar’s Uniform Civil Jury Instruction Committee. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2023-2025), a Best Lawyers One to Watch (2020-2025), and a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 (2020-2024). Nationally, she is a member of the American Association for Justice and Injury Board. She earned her law degree from the University of Michigan and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pomona College.

Craig Schauermann

Before going of counsel July 1, 2015, Craig advised and advocated for his clients in personal injury and wrongful death cases for nearly 40 years. He continues to work part time with the attorneys in our office on matters relating to serious personal injuries and wrongful death. He serves frequently as an arbitrator. Craig obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973 from Washington State University and later earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1976 from the University of Puget Sound. He is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of Washington, the Western and Eastern District Federal Courts of the State of Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court, and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to establishing Schauermann Thayer in 1986, Craig started work in Seattle as an associate with a small personal injury firm and moved to Clark County in January of 1979. He practiced exclusively after that in the State of Washington, primarily in Clark County. He was instrumental in obtaining for his clients a number of large verdicts, arbitration awards, and settlements. Craig was a member of the Board of Governors for the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ, formerly Washington State Trial Lawyers Association) from 1996-2001 and served on the Political Action Committee for WSAJ from 2004-2015. He has been a WSAJ Eagle member for over 25 years. Craig also served as the Past President of the Clark County Bar Association and was the Chairman of the Washington State Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Committee. Craig has been a speaker at numerous legal education seminars. Craig and his wife are the proud parents of three children and six grandchildren. He enjoys golf, playing bridge, and traveling with his family.

Bradley Thayer

Brad Thayer joined the firm in 2015 and became a partner in 2018. He was presented the 2018 Rising Star Award by the Clark County Bar Association. Since then, he has been selected as a “Rising Star” annually by Super Lawyers magazine (2019 - 2025). He is active in local trial attorney organizations-as both an Eagle Member of the Washington State Association for Justice and a Guardian in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. Brad earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Sociology from Western Washington University and a Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from Willamette University College of Law. His practice focuses on personal injury, auto accident, dog bite, and wrongful death cases. Brad speaks Spanish at an intermediate level. He has studied it at various levels over the years in school and lived in Spain from 2009 to 2011 teaching English. In his free time, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, following the Portland Trail Blazers and the NBA generally, playing basketball and golf, and traveling. He especially enjoys hiking in the Columbia River Gorge and trips to the Oregon Coast.
