Christopher T. Bowen

Chris is a partner in KKC’s Litigation Department and represents individuals and companies in a wide array of business and consumer disputes in a broad range of fields and industries at both the trial and appellate level in state and federal court. He also represents claimants and respondents in state administrative and private arbitration forums. Chris’s litigation practice is focused in the following areas: Commercial Foreclosures, Replevins, Collections and Evictions, Bankruptcy and Creditor’s Rights, Employment Litigation, Construction Litigation, Real Estate and Boundary Line Litigation, Probate Litigation, Personal Injury, and Insurance Disputes. He has represented clients in a variety of different contract and tort based claims. Chris has tried multiple cases to judgment, has jury trial experience, and has conducted multiple evidentiary hearings seeking interlocutory relief. Prior to joining Kahan Kerensky Capossela, Chris worked at the Connecticut General Assembly drafting, negotiating, and lobbying leadership’s legislative priorities. Chris, his son, and his dog live in West Hartford.

Matthew E. Willis

In private practice since 2001, Matt focuses on Personal Injury, Criminal Law, and Motor Vehicle Felonies and Misdemeanors. Matt’s desire to become a lawyer was cemented at age 13 during his first job: raking leaves and doing other chores for an attorney and probate court judge on Candlewood Lake, who challenged him to decide hypothetical cases. Richard S. Conti

Rick Conti is a partner of Diana, Conti, Tunila, Sheridan & McCann, LLP and has been practicing law with the firm since 1979. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School Of Law in 1979 and graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelors degree in psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in 1975. He represents a large variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, and municipalities. Brandon B. Fontaine

Attorney Brandon Fontaine is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, where he leads the appellate and family law practice areas. He focuses on divorce, custody, and other family law matters, along with civil litigation, in the trial and appellate courts. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Brandon’s appellate practice has involved numerous appeals before the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts, focused on all areas of family law and civil litigation. His experience is well-suited to complex appellate issues, resulting in successful outcomes on a majority of his client’s appellate cases. A list of representative cases is provided below. Brandon also represents clients on all aspects of divorce, custody, and other family law matters, such as property division, child support, alimony, visitation, relocation, restraining orders, prenuptial agreements, paternity, contempt of court orders, post-judgment issues and modifications, and high income/asset divorces. Brandon was recognized in 2023 by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as a “Top 10 Family Law Attorney” in Connecticut, for the third year year in a row. He serves as a Special Master for family matters in the Tolland County Judicial District. In addition to litigation, his family law practice includes mediation and collaborative divorce. Brandon handles a broad range of civil litigation for businesses and individuals as well, including contract matters, business disputes, consumer protection, personal injury claims, and a variety of other cases. He also defends clients charged in criminal matters and represents victims of criminal offenses. Attorney Fontaine earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he was selected as Articles Editor for the RWU Law Review. After law school, he served in the Connecticut Judicial Branch’s Office of Legal Research, working with Superior Court judges in the research and writing of judicial decisions. Brandon’s published works have appeared in the Rhode Island Bar Journal and the RWU Law Review, and he was a contributing author to the fourth and fifth editions of Rhode Island Criminal Defense: A Practice Manual. He is a member of the Appellate and Family Law sections of the Connecticut Bar Association and a lifelong resident of Connecticut.

Mathew Sadler

Joel A. DeFelice

Joel A. DeFelice was born in Leominster, Massachusetts and now resides in Ellington, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from The American University, School of Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., where Joel was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient from 1994 - 1998. Joel received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2006. Attorney DeFelice’s practice concentrates on civil litigation including business disputes, divorce, custody, and personal injury, criminal law, estate planning, as well as residential and commercial real estate. Joel serves as a Special Divorce Master for the Rockville (Tolland County, Connecticut, 2013 - present) Marriage Dissolution Court. He has advised business clients relating to business acquisition and sales, telecommunication leases, commercial and residential leases, employment and discrimination matters, and product distribution agreements.

Chris Folsom

Attorney Folsom graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2017, where he was recognized for outstanding performance in oral advocacy, superior classroom performance, and service to the law school. He handles both litigation and transactional matters at Aeton, with a focus on personal injury and criminal defense. Prior to joining Aeton, he worked for an asset management firm, as a Temporary Assistant Clerk in New Haven Superior Court, and at a personal injury firm.
