James Crowson

James Crowson

Alaska personal injury attorney James Crowson is the founder of Crowson Law Group. James grew up in a small town in North Carolina, where he learned to value hard work and commitment. He attended North Carolina State University, where he received degrees in Biochemistry and Zoology. James originally planned to attend medical school, but discovered, toward the end of his college career, that he had an aptitude and a love for the law. So, James attended law school at the University of Georgia, where he received his Juris Doctor in law. Following graduation, James began his legal career defending insurance companies and health care providers against negligence claims. However, he discovered that he had a passion for helping individuals secure the compensation and benefits they need to support themselves and their families in the wake of a devastating injury or loss, rather than representing doctors or insurance companies. Determined to use what he had learned working for some of the best insurance defense lawyers in the country, James now leverages his past defense experience to benefit accident victims. In 2010 James fulfilled a long-time goal by coming to Alaska and making it his home. In his free time, James enjoys spending time with family and taking part in outdoor activities. A runner-up to his passion for law, is coaching football. James coached at Dimond High School from 2011-2014 and currently coaches at East High School.

Nicole Daussin

Nicole Daussin

Hi, I’m Carolyn Nicole Daussin (aka “Nicole”), founder of The Law Office of Nicole Daussin, Inc. Thank you for considering our firm! We’re happy you’re here. I have dedicated my practice to helping people navigate family law, personal injury claims, criminal defense, personal injury claims, and estate planning. Whether you’re facing a legal challenge or planning for the future, I’m here to provide clear guidance and strong advocacy. Where I come from: I grew up in Apex, North Carolina as a very shy kid - believe it or not. Life has a way of leading us where we’re meant to be, and the shy kid I once was never imagined I’d be fighting for my clients in the courtroom. I found my passion for the law, and built my practice around helping others through some of the toughest times in their lives. I left home at seventeen to attend Wellesley College, where I studied English. The coursework thrilled me; the culture didn’t. The polished competitiveness of New England liberal arts life wore thin fast, and I graduated early. I ended up in Raton, New Mexico, cleaning hotel rooms and discovering a love of the mountains. That set the tone for the next few years-traveling, working odd jobs, and learning what kind of life I wanted. A teaching job in Quinhon, Vietnam pushed me to shift directions again. I started studying for the LSAT, which I took in Kuala Lumpur, and eventually returned to North Carolina for law school in Chapel Hill. The adventurous side had one more push - I wanted to start my practice of law in the most interesting place I could find. Palmer, Alaska. Since arriving in 2019, I worked as a Superior Court law clerk in Palmer Alaska, a prosecutor with the Anchorage District Attorney’s office, and then as an associate attorney with a local small firm. I now have a four-year-son that I have been co-parenting since he was one year old. As a single parent myself, I can honestly tell my clients “I get it” - I know what it’s like to parent a child growing up in two different households and navigate the challenges that come with it. I also understand the reality of small-town living - the familiarity of a small community is both a blessing and a curse when your reality suddenly changes to become unfamiliar. As a practitioner focusing on family law, there a couple things I find particularly rewarding. First, I absolutely love helping parents reunite with their children. All too often, in co-parenting situations, one parent appoints themselves the judge, jury, and executioner on when and how the other can see their own child. This is a decision that only a real judge should make, and only in the absolute rarest and most extreme of circumstances should all parenting time be suspended. Second, I love empowering newly-single people to take back their lives and identity after separating from a bad relationship. Life is beautiful and brief, so enjoy it free from your toxic ex! If you’re looking for an attorney who truly listens and fights for your best interests, I’d love to help. Feel free to reach out-I’m always happy to talk.
