Doug Gibson

Doug Gibson has been a leader in the Ware County legal community for over 36 years. Today, he represents clients who have been injured in serious accidents, as well as families that have lost a loved one due to the negligence or misconduct of another person or business. Doug has previously served the local legal community in a number of capacities, including Solicitor General, Public Defender, and President of the Waycross Bar Association. He currently presides over the Municipal Court of the City of Waycross and previously served as the Ware County State Court Judge, an elected position he held from 1997 through 2020. Doug’s service on the bench allows him to maintain a private law practice focused on personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Over the years, Doug has taken significant steps toward enhancing his ability to represent clients in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), received his EMT Certification in 2008, and completed the Paramedic Diploma in 2010. He is also Captain of the newly organized Pine Valley Volunteer Fire Department, and participated in the creation of the Department after the devastation caused by the Sweat Farm Road fire.

Addie Gibson

Addie Gibson represents individuals and families in serious personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. A graduate of the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, Addie initially practiced law in Macon, Georgia while her husband completed law school. In 2013, she joined Gibson & Associates, P.C. and is carrying on the tradition of excellence her grandfather started in 1962. Addie has previously served as the President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Waycross Bar Association. She was appointed Judge Pro Tempore of the Municipal Court of Waycross in 2016.

Mark J. Hatfield

Mark J. Hatfield is a Waycross native, valedictorian of his high school class, and a First Honor Graduate of the University of Georgia, where he also earned his Juris Doctor. Admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1993, he previously served as an Assistant District Attorney and later as a Georgia State Representative for four terms. He focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, criminal defense, and family law.

Thomas E. Hatfield

Thomas E. Hatfield is a native of Waycross, Georgia, and a graduate of the University of Georgia and The University of Tulsa School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1997. He concentrates in personal injury, criminal defense, and divorce and domestic relations law. In 2020, he was elected State Court Judge of Ware County, a part-time position that allows him to continue his private practice with Hatfield & Hatfield, P.C.

Willis H. Blacknall, III

Willis H. Blacknall, III graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972 and Mercer University Walter F. George College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1978. He started his private practice in 1979 and has over 43 years of experience assisting injured persons, disabled persons, and consumers. He is associated with the State Board of Georgia and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney.
