Eric B. DiMario

Eric began practicing law in 2004 and joined Kiernan Plunkett & Redihan in 2010. His primary area of practice is civil litigation with a focus on claims involving negligence, wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home liability, premises liability, product liability and liquor liability. He also litigates matters involving construction disputes, real estate disputes, business disputes and land title issues. Eric counsels his clients on business planning matters, estate planning matters and real estate transactions. He has extensive experiencing arguing matters in Rhode Island Superior Court. He has also successfully prosecuted multiple cases before the Rhode Island Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Recently, Eric won a week-long civil jury trial, obtaining a judgment in excess of $500,000.00 on behalf of a client that was assaulted in barroom. He successfully defended a jury verdict before the Rhode Island Supreme Court when the defendant sought to overturn a $600,000.00 judgment in favor of Eric’s client. In an action involving a permanent brain injury with claims of breach of contract and bad faith, Eric argued multiple aspects of the litigation before both the United States District Court and Rhode Island Superior Court and ultimately obtained $11,000,000.00 in insurance coverage for his client in a decision that was recognized by Rhode Island Lawyer’s Weekly as one of the most significant cases of the year.

James A. Hall, IV

Attorney James Alexander Hall, IV, is an experienced trial and personal injury attorney licensed in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Connecticut Federal District Court as well as injured workers in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Mohegan Tribal and Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Courts. Practicing law since 1997, Attorney Hall began interning for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office during his last year of law school at New York Law. Since then, he has made his clients millions of dollars, including those injured in auto accidents, slip and falls, work related injuries, discrimination and harassment cases. He is a licensed US Coast Guard Captain and served the Town of Westerly as the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Robert J. LaMountain

Attorney Robert J. LaMountain provides representation for divorce, domestic, criminal law, personal injury, auto accidents, civil law, wills, and landlord/tenant matters for Westerly and the state of Rhode Island, including Washington, Kent, Newport, and Providence counties. He concentrates in Domestic Relations, Criminal Law, Personal Injury, and DWI Defense.

Steven T. Hartford, Esq. was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University in 1988 and a Juris Doctor from Western Michigan School of Law, cum laude, in 1990. He completed the Kennedy School’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University in 2013. Steven is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Connecticut. He was former Vice-President of the Westerly Town Council (1990-1992), Westerly Town Solicitor (1996-1998) (2000-2002) (2004-2009), and Westerly Town Manager (2009-2013). He also served as Board Chairman of the federal Wyatt Detention Facility between 2011 and 2013. He has volunteered his time to community service as a member of various Boards including the Westerly Education Endowment Fund, Greater Westerly/Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce, Westerly Adult Day Care Center and Westerly Hospital Parent Company.

Nicholas E. Capalbo, Esq. was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Business & Economics, from The Catholic University of America in 2007. In 2010, Nicholas was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University School of Law where he was Dean’s List Recipient (2008, 2009, 2010) and joined the Firm the same year. Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island, Nicholas previously served as law clerk for the Westerly Town Solicitor (2010). In his capacity as law clerk, Nicholas assisted the Town Solicitor as legal advisor to the Town Council, Town Manager, and all other officers, departments and agencies of the Town, as well as appearing for and protecting the rights of the Town in all actions, suits or proceedings, civil or criminal, in law or equity. Nicholas and his wife, Ryanna T. Capalbo, Esq., with their two sons, Finn and Knox, live in Westerly, Rhode Island. Outside of the practice of law, Nicholas enjoys spending time together with his family and friends on the beach.
