Drew Nichols

Drew Nichols is an experienced trial attorney in the areas of family, criminal, and civil law. He spent the initial years of his legal career as a prosecutor for District 21 serving the people of Cleveland, Garvin, and McClain County. He didn’t waste any time getting into the courtroom and handled his first jury trial only a few months after getting sworn in. While a prosecutor, Drew handled a variety of cases with a primary focus on drug prosecutions. He maintained one of the highest caseloads in the District Attorney’s Office with an average of more than 250 cases being prosecuted at any given time. Drew’s time as a prosecutor provided him with the unique advantage of being in the courtroom on an almost daily basis. In 2004, Drew started his own law practice and hasn’t looked back. Since leaving the DA’s office, Drew has expanded his knowledge and practice of the law in many areas including personal injury and general civil litigation. He has achieved fantastic results for hundreds of individuals facing serious crimes. He has successfully litigated and resolved almost every type of family law matter. His family law cases often involve complicated asset division and highly contested custody matters. In essence, Drew does it all and he does it all well. Drew is meticulous, organized, personable, aggressive, patient, and caring. He is well known within the community and the state of Oklahoma. He cares about his clients and takes on their troubles as if they are his own. Drew has served as a speaker on behalf of the Oklahoma Bar Association to other Oklahoma attorneys. He has returned to OU Law School many times to serve as a guest judge for current students and has addressed local schoolchildren on the law and its role in our society. Drew has been named a Super Lawyer for 2023 and 2024 following nomination and voting by his peers. Outside the office, Drew enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. He is involved in his church and enjoys serving as the large group leader teaching Sunday school to Kindergartners throughout fifth graders. His other interests include exercising, hiking, movies, college sports, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Greg Dixon

Greg Dixon was a civil and criminal litigator. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration and earned his Juris Doctor in 1994 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He served as an Assistant District Attorney for District 25 (Okmulgee and McIntosh counties) from 1995 to 1998, Staff Attorney for the District Attorney’s Council in Oklahoma City in 1999, and Assistant District Attorney for District 21 (Cleveland, McClain and Garvin counties) from 2000 to 2003. He pursued a successful private practice, focusing on criminal defense and general civil litigation. Greg was elected District Judge for Cleveland, McClain and Garvin counties in 2011, serving as Supervising District Judge in McClain and Garvin counties until 2015. He re-entered private practice in the oil and gas sector in Colorado before returning to Oklahoma. He focused on civil and criminal litigation, using his extensive experience. Greg joined Drew Nichols in 2019 to establish Nichols Law Firm. He was born and raised in rural Oklahoma with a strong emphasis on faith, hard work, and respect for others. He and his wife lived in Norman and were involved in their church and its ministries.

Ted Haxel retired from his private practice and joined Nichols Dixon as an of counsel attorney. He was an AV Preeminent rated attorney and ran a thriving private practice, handling civil concerns like personal injury law, probate, real estate, domestic relations, and commercial law. He also served as city attorney for Purcell and Lexington, and even drafted legislation for medical marijuana in Oklahoma. He has been practicing since 1975.

Lucas M. West

Lucas West is an associate attorney with NICHOLS | DIXON PLLC in Norman, Oklahoma. His practice encompasses a variety of legal areas including family law, guardian ad litem work, civil litigation, estate planning, and municipal law. He grew up in Mustang, Oklahoma, and attended Texas Christian University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in political science and psychology in 2015. He was a member of the John V. Roach Honors College and the TCU Wesley Foundation. He returned to Oklahoma to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he worked in the civil division of the legal clinic and participated in the national mock trial team, graduating in 2018. Lucas worked as an extern at the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office before interning for NICHOLS | DIXON. He passed the bar in 2018 and became an associate attorney. He is licensed to practice law in all municipal and state courts, the Western District of Oklahoma, and several tribal courts. Lucas is invested in his legal community and served on the Cleveland County Bar Association Executive Board, including as President for the 2022-2023 term. He has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2023 and 2024. He has a passion for guiding clients through the complex legal process and helping them reach positive resolutions, treating clients with respect and providing individualized and diligent representation.

Bailey Barber

Bailey Barber is an associate attorney with Nichols Law Firm PLLC in Norman, Oklahoma. Her practice encompasses a variety of legal areas including family law, civil litigation, estate planning, and municipal law. She grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended Wichita State University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology in 2021. She returned to Oklahoma to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she graduated in 2024. Bailey worked as a Legal Intern at Nichols Law Firm for three years before passing the bar and becoming an associate attorney. Bailey has a passion for crafting solutions to problems clients may face. She values compassion, innovation and dependability. Bailey enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and cooking new recipes.
