Robert Anthony Alvarez

Robert Alvarez co-founded Avanti Law Group in 2010. He is a seasoned litigator with over two decades of courtroom experience, focusing on employment law, civil RICO, immigration and deportation defense, federal criminal defense, and general civil litigation. He is admitted in Michigan and multiple federal jurisdictions, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He is bilingual (English/Spanish and some Brazilian Portuguese) and has been recognized as Hispanic Person of the Year for his leadership in civil rights litigation.

Raquel A. Guzman

Raquel Guzman (formerly Salas) is the founding partner and managing member of Avanti Law Group, head of its criminal defense practice, and has nearly two decades of experience. She is fluent in English and Spanish and serves as a legal commentator for Univision. She is licensed in Michigan and California and earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law. Her honors include Michigan Weekly’s Women in the Law, Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Star, West Michigan’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders, and Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan. She also received presidential invitations to the White House.

Alicia Mancio

Alicia Mancio is an immigration attorney who grew up in Grand Rapids. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Inspired by her family's immigration experience, she dedicates her practice to helping others navigate the immigration system.

Meghan E. Moore

Meghan Moore is a founding partner of Avanti Law Group and manages its immigration practice, which she devotes exclusively to. She is fluent in Spanish and advises on family-based immigration, naturalization, U and T visas, and waivers of inadmissibility. She is a graduate of Carleton College and Chicago Kent College of Law, licensed in 2007.

Amy Nicole Grauman

Amy Grauman is a seasoned attorney with over 13 years of experience, including 8 years as a Partner at Avanti, where she leads the firm’s Family Law Department. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University and Cooley Law School, and has published appellate cases.
