Craig A. Kennedy
Craig A. Kennedy graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1973 and from the USD School of Law in 1976. After serving as a U.S. District Court Law Clerk, he began practice in Yankton in 1977. He was elected Yankton County State’s Attorney from 1985 to 1992 and has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for South Dakota since 2000. Beau C. Barrett
Beau joined the Den Herder Law Firm in 2019 with several years of experience practicing in a variety of civil litigation matters, real estate transactions, and debtor-creditor negotiations. Beau serves as the municipal attorney for several South Dakota towns including Gayville, Lesterville, Mission Hill, Volin, and Wagner. Beau graduated from the University of South Dakota Law School in 2014. During law school Beau served as Lead Articles Editor for the South Dakota Law Review and was a member of the Trial Team. Beau has been a member of the South Dakota Bar Association since 2014 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota which includes the United States Bankruptcy Court. Beau and his family moved to Yankton in 2014. They enjoy camping and spending time at Lewis and Clark Lake. Lindsay J. Hovden
Lindsay graduated cum laude from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor of science degree in Recreation Management. She then attended the University of South Dakota School of Law, graduating with highest distinction and being named a member of the Sterling Honor Society. While attending law school, Lindsay was a published editor of the South Dakota Law Review. After law school, Lindsay served as a law clerk for the Second Judicial Circuit Court. She then spent a year serving the needs of under served clients as a staff attorney with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services before establishing her private practice in Yankton. Lindsay has been a member of the South Dakota Bar Association since 2006 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota. In her free time Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and their three children. She also contributes her time and talents to many nonprofit and community organizations. Since moving to Yankton in 2007, Lindsay has served on the board of directors for United Way of Greater Yankton, 100 Women of Yankton, River City Domestic Violence Center, Heartland Psychological Associates, and the Yankton Library Foundation. She has also volunteered with Big Friend Little Friend, Yankton Special Olympics, and the Boys and Girls Club. She is also a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
