The peak day for fatal crashes shifted from Thursday in September 2022, with 8 incidents, to Saturday in September 2023, with 7 incidents. The peak hour also changed, moving from 6 PM in the prior period to 12 PM in the current period, both recording 4 fatal crashes. Manner of Collision

The dominant manner of fatal collision in both periods was 'The First Harmful Event was Not a Collision with a Motor Vehicle in Transport,' increasing from 13 fatal crashes (59.1%) in September 2022 to 16 fatal crashes (64%) in September 2023. Front-to-Front collisions also saw a slight increase from 3 to 4 fatal crashes, while Angle collisions remained consistent with 3 fatal crashes in both periods.
