When Crashes Happen

The peak day for fatal crashes shifted in 2023, with Sunday, Monday, and Saturday each recording 21 fatal crashes, whereas Saturday was the sole peak day in 2022 with 28 fatal crashes. Manner of Collision

The dominant manner of collision in fatal crashes for both years was 'The First Harmful Event was Not a Collision with a Motor Vehicle in Transport', increasing from 86 in 2022 to 99 in 2023, representing 77.3% of current fatal crashes.
