About Anthony

Anthony L. "Tony" Farese is the President of Farese, Farese & Farese, P.A. He received a B.P.A. from the University of Mississippi in 1983 and his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1985. He has practiced law for 34 years with the family firm. He is licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee, and practices in federal courts including the U.S. District Courts for Northern and Southern Mississippi, Western District of Tennessee, U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Mississippi Association for Justice, American Association of Justice, Mississippi Bar, Tennessee Bar Association, and Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a charter member and past president of Mississippi Attorneys for Constitutional Justice. He is a graduate of the Trial Skills Academy at the Institution for Criminal Defense Advocacy. He has been listed in Woodward & White's Best Lawyers in America (criminal law section) since 2003 and selected as Tupelo Criminal Defense: White Collar "Lawyer of the Year" multiple times. He has also been listed as a Mid-South Super Lawyer in criminal defense since 2006. He received the 2009 Mississippi Association for Justice Least Weasel Award and the 2014 Chief Judge Award from Chief United States District Judge Sharion Aycock. He is a Bencher in the William Keady Inn of the American Inns of Court III and a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation (2016). He served as a Ms. Bar Commissioner (2007-2010) and on The Mississippi State Bar's Character and Fitness Committee.
