Since 1998, Brian McGovern has concentrated his practice in the areas of personal injury, workers compensation, and Social Security disability law in the southern Illinois region. He attended Southern Illinois University for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Southern Illinois University School of Law for his Juris Doctorate degree in 1994. He is licensed to practice in the Courts of Illinois, the United States Federal District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is the author of 'Workers’ Compensation,' Chapter 7, of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s Starting Points. He has served as President of the Jefferson County Illinois Bar Association and holds memberships in the American Associations for Justice, Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Jefferson County Bar Association. He is also recognized with awards such as Best Lawyer of the Year 2013, AV Preeminent, Best AVVO Rater Personal Injury Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America, The American Trial Lawyers, Million Dollar Advocates Forum, NBLSC Board Certified Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and Leaders in Law.
