His practice spans onshore and offshore matters, including title and division order opinions, multi-million-dollar property transactions, and a wide range of agreements critical to mineral development. With extensive work in key basins such as the Permian, Haynesville Shale, and Eagle Ford, he is also well-versed in regulatory matters before agencies like the Louisiana Office of Conservation, the State Mineral Board, and FERC. His major clients have included ConocoPhillips, Devon Energy, EnerVest, Range Resources, Newfield, ARCO, Enbridge Pipeline, Stephens Production, KCS Resources, SWEPI (Shell), Paloma and other active independents. He also has experience in numerous oil and gas basins, including the Permian, Midland, Haynesville Shale, Tuscaloosa Marine Shale, Austin Chalk, Eagle Ford and others. His primary representation has been for: (1) Title examination and opinions (most recently for the LA Haynesville Shale, Tuscaloosa Marine and Austin Chalk), (2) The sale and acquisition of multi-million dollar oil and gas properties (wells and pipelines), including due diligence reviews and preparation of related documents; (3) preparation of leases, farmouts, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, processing agreements, gas contracts, drilling contracts, and other agreements for development of minerals and (4) Practice before regulatory agencies such as the Louisiana Office of Conservation, State Mineral Board and the FERC, for unitization and other regulatory matters.
