About Chad
Chad is able to combine the legal experience and acumen acquired from working in a large firm, the insight acquired in positions in business, and the discipline acquired in the military to provide full solutions to his clients' cases. When not representing one side or another in lawsuits, Chad works as a professional mediator. He has been appointed to the Panel of Neutrals for Hurricane Ida cases by the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, and the 24th Judicial District Court, Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana. Since he began practicing in 1999, Chad has handled a wide range of civil litigation and appeals in venues throughout Louisiana. He is experienced in the defense of complex litigation, including major class action lawsuits and mass joinder suits. Moreover, as a registered patent attorney who focuses entirely on litigation, Chad is able to bring these skills together in patent infringement lawsuits. He takes particular pride in successfully resolving lawsuits involving multiple parties and complex legal issues with favorable results and efficiency. Chad's experience includes: • Representation of clients in defending against lawsuits involving alleged exposure to substances, including naturally-occurring radioactive material (NORM), benzene, pesticides, carbon monoxide, and asbestos • Representation of clients in defending against lawsuits involving alleged property damage due to alleged contamination involving operations related to oil and gas operations • Representation of clients in litigation involving insurance coverage of claims from catastrophic property damage, including sinkholes, fire and explosions • Representation of clients in litigation involving alleged damages from "global warming" • Representation of client in internet name dispute proceedings • Representation of client in property issues, including leases and local property tax issues • Representation of clients as Louisiana counsel in litigation involving alleged infringement of United States patents • Provided counsel to client involving employment contract and non-compete/non-disclosure agreements • Representation of client in defending against diminution of property damage value and emotional distress claims involving a landfill
