About Chris

Chris Goddard is a dedicated litigator with over 27 years of experience, handling personal injury, professional malpractice, employment, estates, and corporate-commercial matters. He began his career as a litigation associate with Miller Thomson LLP, then served as in-house counsel at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (now Desjardins Insurance), where he became a managing lawyer overseeing a 17-lawyer litigation team. He joined Miskin Law in 2018 and became a partner in 2020, representing plaintiffs in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dog attacks, nursing home negligence, and denied long-term benefits claims. Chris holds a National Institute for Trial Advocacy Diploma (2005) and was a member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Executive Committee, Insurance Section, from 2007 to 2011, also editing its insurance law newsletter. Before his legal career, he was a health care journalist.
