About Christian

Chris is primarily a civil litigator, with particular emphasis in the areas of construction litigation and mechanic’s lien law, business litigation, contract disputes, landlord/tenant law, debt collection, homeowners’ association law, and issues related to easements and rights of way. He has significant trial and arbitration experience throughout the region and before the Virginia Board for Contractors. Chris also assists clients with transactional work, serving as counsel for many business clients to draft and negotiate contracts and leases, assist in corporate and commercial transactions, and provide guidance for corporate succession issues. His clients include construction general contractors, builders and subcontractors, defense subcontractors and technology companies, and commercial and residential landlords. Chris began practicing law with the firm in 2000 following two summer internships in Fredericksburg during law school. He is consistently listed among the “Legal Elite” in Virginia Business Magazine’s annual publication, and was listed as a “Rising Star” in the Virginia Super Lawyers’ publication by Law & Politics and Richmond Magazine. Chris graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with degrees in Political Science and Psychology, and completed law school at the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Fredericksburg Area Museum, is a past member of the Board of Governors for the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region (Secretary 2015, 2016, 2017), and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Stafford Rotary Club. Chris is a member of the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association (Secretary 2006), Virginia’s 15th Circuit Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.
