About Claire
Claire DeVidas joined Costello, Brennan and DeVidas, P.C. in 2008 and practices primarily in family law, including divorce, custody, visitation, alimony, child support, restraining orders, and post-judgment actions. She has experience representing high net worth individuals and those with complex compensation packages. Ms. DeVidas also offers divorce mediation services. She began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in New Orleans, Louisiana, prosecuting violent crimes, including domestic violence. She is a member of the Family Law section of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce, and accepts appointments as a Guardian ad Litem. Ms. DeVidas is a State of Connecticut Certified Domestic Violence Counselor. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. She received her B.A. and B.S. from the College of Charleston in 1993 and her J.D. from Pace Law School in 2000. During law school, she was a recipient of the Equal Justice Fellowship for her work with women victims of domestic violence. She completed mediation training at Quinnipiac University School of Law Center on Dispute Resolution in 2016.
