About Daniel
As a 2002 graduate of SPASH and Stevens Point native, Dan was thrilled to return to Central Wisconsin after graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School. Dan began his career at the firm as a summer associate in 2009 and joined the firm as an associate in 2010. After a few years at the firm, he spent two years in China working at large firms. During his time abroad, he focused on complex matters of international commercial arbitration and litigation in relation to cross-border transactions. In addition, he held adjunct positions with the China University of Political Science and Law, as well as the University of International Business and Economics, where he was a frequent lecturer on topics related to international litigation. This experience solidified his desire to return to Anderson O’Brien, LLP and focus on representing the people and businesses in Central Wisconsin. To Dan, the firm’s slogan of “Lawyers where you live” resonates strongly. At the time this law firm was forming in the 1880s, his great grandfather, Henry Reading, was finishing the last log drive on the Plover River, and his father was a pioneer of Stevens Point. Three generations of Dan’s family have built their homes in the same area. Being deeply connected to this geographical area translates into being a better advocate for the people and businesses located here. He is passionate about the work he does and is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for every client.
