About Dario

Dario de Ghetaldi’s extensive legal experience is comprised of class action and complex, trust, probate, business, and real estate litigation, in both the trial and appellate courts. His cases include elder abuse, consumer fraud and securities actions. Mr. de Ghetaldi joined our firm in 1989, after working as a judicial staff attorney at the California Court of Appeal for the First Appellate District, and a research attorney for the San Mateo County Superior Court. Mr. de Ghetaldi was co-lead counsel representing Oracle stockholders in a lawsuit against CEO Larry Ellison, who was accused of insider trading. Mr. de Ghetaldi was instrumental in winning a record-breaking settlement, when Ellison agreed to pay $100 million to charity and $22 million in attorney’s fees and costs. Mr. de Ghetaldi later represented 45 families who were victims of PG&E’s natural gas transmission line explosion in San Bruno on September 9, 2010. He is currently suing PG&E on behalf of hundreds of families who suffered losses as a result of the 70,000 acre Butte Fire in September 2015, the 22 North Bay Fires in October 2017, and the 150,000 acre Camp Fire in November 2018. From 1988 to 2018, Mr. de Ghetaldi taught Introduction to Law as an adjunct professor for the paralegal program at Canada College. He also often serves as a court appointed arbitrator for cases in the San Mateo County Superior Court.
