About George

Since opening our office in January 1964, George R. Corey has represented both individuals and businesses in San Mateo County, developing a relationship with the Peninsula community on both a personal and professional level. Focusing his practice on general business litigation, municipal law and civil litigation, he represents clients at both the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Corey places an emphasis on personalized service, accessibility and commitment to the community and the firm’s clientele. His efforts have lead to numerous awards both professionally and in the community. A San Mateo County resident for over 50 years, Mr. Corey served as Mayor of the City of San Bruno from 1972-1973, and served on the San Bruno City Council and the North San Mateo County Council of Cities. In the civic forum, Mr. Corey served as a director of numerous community service and non-profit organizations, most recently as a director of Shelter Network, a local organization that focuses on providing housing and support services to homeless families on the Peninsula. Mr. Corey also founded Peninsula Bank of Commerce, a $500 million institution, chairing its Board of Directors for 17 years.
