About Emma
Emma focuses her area of practice on family law, protective custody matters, and criminal matters. Emma advocates for individuals and families who are going through difficult times. Emma helps to assist parents involved in child protective matters by defending their rights to child contact, services, and family reunification. Emma grew up in Lewiston/Auburn and is devoted to her community. She attended Edward Little High School and then Bates College, where she volunteered her time with multiple organizations focusing on Maine's children and families. After college, Emma worked as a case worker for the Department of Health and Human Services as a permanency caseworker. While at DHHS, Emma developed a commitment to helping parents to reunify with their children. This commitment led her to attend the University of Maine School of Law. During law school, Emma worked at the Androscoggin District Attorney's Office as a student prosecutor handling a variety of criminal matters, which sparked her interest in representing criminal matter defendants. Prior to joining Bilodeau Law, Emma worked as a law clerk for the District Courts of Midcoast Maine and Portland, Maine, working closely with a number of Judges on a variety of legal matters.
