About Francis

Jay Lynch is a graduate of New England Law in Boston and the managing director of Lynch & Lynch where he has focused his practice in the trial of civil cases since 1979. He has represented litigants in all aspects of civil litigation including wrongful death actions, medical malpractice, municipal liability, products liability, police misconduct, contract law, legal malpractice and declaratory judgment actions. He has tried over 500 jury cases to a conclusion in State and Federal courts. Jay lectures frequently for continuing legal education and has been a faculty member for Mass. Continuing Legal Education, The Mass. Academy of Trial Attorneys, The Mass. Bar Association and the University of Massachusetts Law School in Dartmouth. For ten years he was an instructor at Harvard Law School in the Trial Advocacy Program. Jay is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and served on the State Committee of the American College for three years. He was an officer and director of the Southern New England School of Law and in that capacity was one of the founders of the University of Massachusetts Law School in Dartmouth. He continues in that service as a Director of Father Bills and MainSpring and as its pro bono counsel. The United States District Court appointed Jay to the Merit Selection Panel for the appointment of a Magistrate Judge for the District Court in Boston. He served on the Judicial Nominating Commission by Governor Baker.
