About Heather
Heather Long was appointed as the firm's newest partner in 2016. She is an experienced trial lawyer and negotiator with a background in personal injury defense. She has a strong record of success advocating for car accident victims, other personal injury victims, and injured workers. Heather is known for her calmness under pressure, professionalism, and compassionate handling of cases. She also plays a leadership role in the firm's day-to-day operations, managing law clerks and file clerks, and contributing to marketing and event planning. She is the first female partner in Kimmel Carter’s history, representing a step forward in diversity for the firm. Heather has expertise in creative settlements, alternate dispute resolution, and mediation. She has also coached the Salesianum High School Mock Trial team and served as a bar exam preparation mentor for the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Association. She writes a quarterly column for the New Castle Country Women’s Journal focused on workers’ compensation issues.
