Licensed Patent Attorney Jeffrey Banyas joined The McIntosh Law Firm in 2023 in an Of Counsel role after a six-year referral relationship serving mutual clients. Jeffrey has a passion for helping companies identify, secure, and protect their intellectual assets. Jeffrey focuses on protecting clients’ brands from counterfeiting and knock-offs. His practice involves all aspects of Intellectual Property law, including filing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, identifying and protecting trade secrets, drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, and enforcing intellectual property rights domestically, internationally, and on e-commerce platforms. Among many other accomplishments, Jeffrey is one of only a handful of U.S. based attorneys to have spearheaded a successful patent enforcement in China on behalf of a U.S. manufacturer against a Chinese based counterfeiting operation. In another successful matter, Jeffrey obtained a patent grant for a customer and lead the charge to remove over 40 infringing listings from Amazon.
