
About John
A partner at Roebothan McKay Marshall with more than 15 years of legal experience, John Drover has built a thriving practice focused on Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, and Intellectual Property. His academic accomplishments include a Gold Medal for Academic Excellence in Folklore in his undergraduate, as well as the F.A. Aldrich Graduate Award for his graduate work in Folklore. A tireless scholar, John went on to complete a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property while continuing to practice law. He’s also an active member of the arts, cultural, and heritage communities and offers education on intellectual property issues to local not-for-profits in those sectors. After many years as President of the NL Folk Arts Society, John is currently Chair of the board for Artistic Fraud of Newfoundland, and an executive member of the O’Brien Farm Foundation. In his spare time, John can often be found practising yoga.
