About John
John R. Foran was born in 1946. He graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in 1964 and the University of Maryland in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School in 1972. He was admitted to practice law in Maryland in 1972 and in the District of Columbia in 1974. He is a Life Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation and a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has been selected to Maryland Super Lawyers magazine multiple times, starting in 2008. He holds the highest possible rating by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and is a member of their Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys. He has served on various committees for County and State Bar Associations and has been an arbitrator. He has also been involved in community service, including serving as a City Councilman, City Attorney, Community Recreation Director, and a volunteer coach. Early in his career, he was an Associate County Attorney for Prince George’s County and Executive Director of the Prince George’s County Consumer Protection Commission before entering private practice in 1974.
