About JonCarlo

JonCarlo Serna graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law where he participated as a Student Attorney in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic and interned with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund in their litigation department. JonCarlo served as a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice, and later became The Scholar’s Editor in Chief in his final year of law school. Prior to joining Cesar Ornelas Law, JonCarlo worked with The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, representing the best interests of unaccompanied minors throughout the United States. He then changed course with a move to an Austin-based firm, where he focused on personal injury, family law, and administrative law. JonCarlo is a passionate advocate for his clients in both Texas and New Mexico and is excited to bring this passion to Cesar Ornelas Law.
