About Judge
Judge Daniel D’Alessandro is Counsel to Callagy Law. Born and raised in Jersey City, he is the first in his family to go beyond the ninth grade, and has devoted his career to helping individuals, families, small businesses, and young lawyers. From 2010-2019, he served as a judge in the Superior Court Chancery Division Family Part and the Law Division (Civil). He was the Open Public Records Act judge; intensive Settlement Conference judge; mentor to newly appointed judges; security committee co-chair. Presided over adult and juvenile commitment hearings, complex family matters, and personal injury, civil, commercial, real estate, zoning, and professional liability litigation. Judge D’Alessandro is a Judicial Reappointment Commissioner; past member of the Supreme Court’s Family Practice Committee, Committee on Women and the Courts, and technology and social media task forces. He has returned to the practice of law, mediates and arbitrates; is a volunteer matrimonial early settlement panelist; and taught high school criminal justice. Before his judicial appointment, Judge D’Alessandro founded his firm and was a general practitioner for 35-years with statewide trial and transactional experience; and was a family, probate and civil mediator and arbitrator.
