Attorney Kate Dunnington has recently passed all requirements for admission to the Bar of the Indiana Supreme Court. Dunnington has also become a member of the Indiana State Bar Association. A swearing-in ceremony was held on October 6 for the organization’s newest members. An Elizabethtown native, Dunnington is a 2011 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Law and has been an attorney with Becker Law Office since 2013. Her specialty at Becker is focused solely on personal injury cases. Much of Dunnington’s work entails negotiating with insurance companies for settlements and evaluating cases. To Dunnington, there is more to serving clients than giving sound legal guidance. “A lot of times people are angry about the situation they are in and just nervous about what is going to happen,” she says. “The part I like most about my work is talking with these people, connecting with them, and putting myself in their shoes as best I can.”
