
About Kathryn
Attorney Kathryn Mahady has a broad legal practice, concentrating her efforts on civil litigation, probate, real estate litigation, bankruptcy, criminal defense, and immigration law. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Ms. Mahady relocated to Arizona in the late 1990s. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2000 with a B.A. in English and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and Teacher Education from the University of Arizona in 2005. She taught seventh grade Social Studies in Tucson for seven years, during which time she was the recipient of two Fulbright awards to South Africa and Turkey. While at the University of Arizona earning her law degree, Ms. Mahady clerked for ASPEY, WATKINS & DIESEL, as well as for the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Tucson, and served as President of the Law Women’s Association. Ms. Mahady joined ASPEY, WATKINS & DIESEL in 2011. In 2018, the U.S. District Court appointed Ms. Mahady to a three-year term as a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference to serve as a liaison to the federal courts. In 2019, the State Bar of Arizona appointed Ms. Mahady to the Bar’s Civil Practice and Procedure Committee. Ms. Mahady continues to serve on this Committee.
