About Kathryn

Kathryn Hartnett, a proud Nebraskan raised in South Sioux City, is an Attorney at Hauptman O’Brien. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned her Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in 2010, receiving CALI Awards for Trial Practice and Bioethics and the Law. She has been practicing law in Iowa and Nebraska at the state and federal level since 2010. She specializes in workers’ compensation and personal injury claims. Kate has given presentations on workers’ compensation law at the Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Symposium and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals annual meeting. She is a passionate advocate for social justice and political activism, and actively contributes to food and toy drives.
