About Keith
Keith Richard was recently recognized by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court’s Katahdin Counsel Program for his pro bono work for the third straight year. In a state with over 3,600 attorneys, Keith was one of only 107 Maine attorneys to achieve Katahdin Counsel recognition, which recognizes attorneys that contribution 50 or more hours of pro bono representation during the year. Keith handled cases through referrals and collaborations with several organizations and programs, including the Eviction Defense Program of Pine Tree Legal Assistance, Conservation Law Foundation’s Legal Food Hub, and Legal Services for the Elderly. He defended evictions, helped a blueberry farmer negotiate a conservation easement, assisted an ice cream producer with a business formation, and navigated probate litigation for an elderly client, among other matters. Associate Attorney Keith Richard was recently recognized as one of the 2018 recipients of the Katahdin Counsel Recognition Program. Katahdin Counsel is a distinction awarded annually to Maine attorneys that dedicate 50 or more hours of their time to represent persons unable to afford an attorney. Attorney Richard handled matters referred by Conservation Law Foundation’s Legal Food Hub and the Volunteer Lawyer’s Project.
