About Kimberly

Kimberly Cook (Kim) is an accomplished trial lawyer who has received national recognition for high-profile case victories. Over the past three decades, Kim has litigated cases involving catastrophic injury and death in Florida and throughout the United States. Regarded as one of America’s top trial attorneys, she has successfully tried over 30 cases to verdict. In addition to representing individuals and their families, Kim represents international product manufacturers, corporations, entertainment venues, retail establishments, physicians, hospitals and healthcare providers. Since 2006, Kim has been a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). In 2016, Kim became the first female president of the Miami Chapter for the American Board of Trial Advocates. She is also a member of the American Board of Trial Attorneys, a select group of both plaintiff and defense trial lawyers. Kim is an adjunct Faculty member for the University of Florida’s School of Law, where she teaches Trial Skills. Her experience litigating throughout the United States is a unique skill set and Kim regularly serves as regional and trial counsel for individuals and corporations in high-exposure cases. These matters typically involve product liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, construction, employment practices, general commercial litigation, mass torts and wrongful death. Prior to joining Davis Goldman, Kim was a Partner at Goldberg Segalla and Managing Partner of Sedgwick (Miami), both national Am Law 200 firms. From 2002-2013, Kim was a founding member of Abadin Cook, a trial firm she and her husband, Ramon Abadin, established. They are both Fellows of the ACTL.
