Maidenly (May) is an accomplished trial attorney with more than twenty-five years of experience in Florida state and federal courts. Her primary practice areas are complex commercial litigation, personal injury, intellectual property, corporate transactional matters and outside general counsel services. May represents individuals, small businesses and large corporations in high-stakes disputes, including shareholder actions, business theft, investment fraud, real property and probate litigation. May was instrumental in securing multi-million dollar recoveries on behalf of a local entrepreneur in a home-sharing platform startup and a business investor in the medical receivables financing industry in their respective business disputes against their former business partners, and, most recently, on behalf of a trustee in a trust dispute involving undue influence and assets valued in excess of $100 million. May also has extensive appellate experience with more than thirty reported appellate opinions. She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. Prior to joining Davis Goldman, May was a shareholder in a Ft. Lauderdale boutique litigation firm. She focused on commercial litigation for and against large international corporations, hoteliers, product manufacturers, commercial landlords and financial institutions. She is also fluent in Spanish.
