About LAURA

Laura David-Agudelo graduated from the University of Connecticut, cum laude, in 2019 with a degree in Sociology. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2023. While in law school, Laura was active in the school’s Criminal Defense Clinic representing indigent clients and appearing on their behalf at the Connecticut Superior Court as a Certified Legal Intern. Additionally, as part of a fellowship, Laura led a team of students through a defensive asylum case and ultimately obtained a favorable result for their client. She was active and placed in multiple competitions held by the Negotiation and Dispute Resolution and Mock Trial societies. In her final year of law school, Laura and her team competed in the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition, ultimately winning the regional round and advancing to the national finals. She was an Articles Editor for the Connecticut Public Interest Journal, Vice-President of the Latinx Law Students’ Association, a Student Bar Association representative, and the co-founder of the Criminal Law Society.
