About Liz

Liz Nohren was born and raised in Shelby County, Illinois, and is a fifth-generation legal practitioner there. She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Illinois Wesleyan University and her law degree from Southern Illinois University, also studying at Northwestern University School of Law. Admitted to the Illinois Supreme Court Bar in 2001, she practiced banking, real estate, estate planning, probate, and commercial litigation in Chicago before joining Dove & Dove as a partner. She is now the managing attorney, practicing across 25 counties in Central and Southern Illinois, focusing on contract law, divorce, child custody, adoption, guardianship, real estate, civil litigation, estate planning, and probate. Liz is admitted to all state and appellate courts in Illinois, and the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of the U.S. District Courts in Illinois. She is an active member of several bar associations and community organizations, and has been recognized as an 'Emerging Lawyer' and 'Leading Lawyer' by Leading Lawyers, and a 'Rising Star' by Super Lawyers Magazine. She is also a licensed mediator since 2013 and a Collaborative Family Law Attorney since 2018.
