Matthew G. Mestayer, born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, earned his undergraduate degree from Springhill College in 1990 and his JD from the University of Mississippi Law School in 1993. Initially representing corporations, he shifted his focus to advocating for injured individuals. Since 1999, he has served as the Municipal Judge of Ocean Springs, handling thousands of cases and receiving the Gulf Coast Womens Center For Non-Violence Judicial Award in 2004 for his work with domestic violence victims. He also initiated programs for at-risk youth. In his full law practice in Biloxi, Mississippi, he specializes in representing those injured in work or automobile accidents, with notable successes including a $1.5 million verdict for an injured veteran in 2010.
