About Melody

Melody Isom is a Kansas City native licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri. Her practice focuses on estate planning, wills, and trusts-helping individuals and families create personalized plans that protect what matters most. Melody believes that no two families are alike, and neither are their estate planning needs. She takes the time to truly listen and understand each client’s priorities and values. Together, she works with clients to develop tailored estate plans that safeguard loved ones, preserve legacies, and provide lasting peace of mind. In addition to estate planning, Melody has practiced in the areas of business, contract, family, and consumer protection law. This multidisciplinary experience provides her with a well-rounded foundation and practical insight into the legal challenges families and individuals face. She draws on that background to craft estate plans that are both strategic and deeply personalized to each client’s goals. Melody earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from the University of West Florida, and her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She maintains active memberships with the American Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Douglas County Bar Association, and Kansas Women Attorneys Association. She is also a member of the KBA Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section and volunteers with the Elder Law Hotline, assisting seniors in need of legal guidance. Outside of her practice, Melody enjoys spending time in her hometown of Kansas City with her husband and three sons. Family is at the heart of her work and her life, and she treasures time with loved ones and friends in the community she proudly calls home.
